Release Day!

Thank you for visiting my site.

Today I am making my website public. I don’t know how much I will use this blog. I will try for semi-regular short updates about my science, writing, and music. I don’t know how regular the updates will be with the start of the fall semester rapidly approaching.

Although I am making the site public, it is far from complete. I am sure there are typos and better ways for me organize the information on the site. In case you are wondering the spinning briefcase thing doesn’t work and I don’t know how to make it work. I like everything about this template but that! There is something to be said for suboptimal experiences.

Since I feel like I have to post something about what I am doing. Here is an update on my writing. I am working on submitting a short story called The War Inside My Head, which is about a man dealing with anxiety as he waits in line to use a transporter. At this point, I am trying to find a good home for the story. I have about four other short stories as well, they may end up together in a self-published collection (after I write more).

My focus now has been on novel-writing. I am revising a novel that I am tentatively calling Selection which has been read by several readers who have provided invaluable feedback. I plan to submit Selection to an agent, but right now I have no idea how to do that. I am also considering self-publication, inspired by some fellow writers who do the same.

I am also drafting my second novel. I have a tentative title, but I am not ready to release that yet. Gotta have material for future updates 🙂

I may post some stories to this site or blog as well. Keep an eye out for those. Links to my songs on SoundCloud can be found on my music page. Music creation has been another long journey for me. The songs aren’t exactly what I’d like them to be, but I’d rather put out some imperfect stuff rather than nothing at all. Besides, I wish people put out more early projects to see how their work improved over time.

I hope your are well. If you are going back to school as a student or educator, I wish you good luck on the start of the academic year.
